Los Angeles based singer-songwriter Lucy Langlas is set to release her new LP, Mountain, via Early Hearts Records on Oct 19. The album’s ten tracks were mostly self-produced and take a minimal approach, blending nylon string guitar with electric, banjo, organ and harmonica, to build texture and tone.
Along with playing local shows for KCRW’s DJ-presented Desert Nights event and an ongoing songwriter showcase at downtown’s Love Song Bar, she will be embarking on West Coast and Mid-West tour dates later this Fall.
Lucy Langlas was born and raised in Montana, in a rural area called echo canyon. The nature-loving Westerner began writing music in high school and quickly began searching for ways to expand her experiences, having moved about from Los Angeles, New Orleans, and London for a brief spell, and now based back in California. Mountain clearly calls to mind wilderness and natural beauty, but also represents a force of energy and personal challenge.
